Holly was the
first female dog I had owned and was only shown a few times which she won a 19pt Challenge and a few
R/U BOB's but she did not enjoy the show ring so I
thought we would have a go in Obedience. Holly enjoyed
this a bit more and gained her CD title.
Holly has a
very soft gentle temperament and always loved to
accompany me on Nursing Home visits and going to the Pet
Expo each year where she could be the centre of
attention with lots of people cuddling and patting
her.
She produced
for me my first litter and had five puppies with two of
them gaining titles, they are
:
Aust Grand Ch
Brackendell River Song ET
Brackendell
Idaho Sunset CD ET
and a
grandmother to in all breed and specialty class in group/in show winning
grandchildren including Brackendell River Melody &
Brackendell Happy Chance who are
well on their way toward their Champion titles. Holly is now living in luxurious retirement and is a loved and
treasured family member of Deb
Kelly and family. Holly now over 10 years
old is still looking great. She loves visiting
Once Upon A Pet with her best mate Matt on Saturdays,
where she spends the day have cuddles and pats while
Matt works.

Ivy
is our darling here at Brackendell, she has
the sweetest temperament and is a take anywhere dog and
is at home wherever she goes.
She
did well in the show
ring winning 3 challenges and quite a
number of reserve
challenges before 2yrs of age. We began trialing
in Obedience 2004 in which Ivy is showing a natural
ability. At her first trial she won the Most
Willing Worker and her first leg towards her CD
title. Ivy
also won 1st place in Novice Obedience at Golden
Retriever Club of SA Champ Show restricted trial
and ***TOP OBEDIENCE BITCH
2004*** (GRCSA). Ivy finished
her **CD** title
with a score of
187pts with 7wk old puppies at home. She gained her Endurance "ET"
title at the (GCSA) in 2005.
In May 2004 Ivy had her
first litter to Danny (CH Montego Mity
Classy CD ET QC). She was a very proud
first time Mum of 8 beautiful pups
and late
2005 Ivy went for a trip to NSW's Buffalo Knls to meet
the handsome sire for her 2nd litter Rian (CH Lawnwoods Rustic
Rian UD (Imp UK), Christmas Eve she had
9 beautiful pups.

Ivy's Final litter in 2008 was once again
to Danny and she proudly produced eight lovely pups.
Ivy's
children are proving to be very sound with lovely
temperament and are showing promise in the show and
obedience rings. In Ivy's three litters all the
pups that have had their hips tested so far have scored
well under 10 and have been clear with their other
hereditary tests for our breed.
Ivy will
retire here to a life of luxury playing with her
children and grand children, greeting visitors and
keeping the lounge warm. Ivy has been such a sound
dog over the years and her beautiful temperament
has come through in her progeny I am very proud to
have bred her.
